Durham Region's Site Liaison Committee (SLC) was established to convey the public's concerns regarding the proposed mass
burn incinerator to the Region. So far this committee has been lacklustre at best. It is time to stand together peacefully and
show regional politicians how we feel.

Peaceful demonstration is a tool of a truly democratic society. We are blessed with the Freedom of Peaceful
Assembly, as well as the Freedom of Speech, the Freedom of Expression and the Freedom of Association to
protect us from oppressive government to any degree, at any level.

The incinerator threatens not only our health but also the financial viability of this Region for decades to come.
We cannot afford to sit on our hands and be complacent any longer. The time has come to stand up together as a
community say NO to this incinerator!
